Painting is Personal

I’ve been navigating a season of uncertainty, and I didn’t realize how much the weight of it had quieted the joyful part of me.

So in trying to pull myself up and out of that feeling, I transported myself to my happy place—the beach.

Feeling the fine sand beneath my toes. Smelling the salty air. Remembering what it feels like to be completely present.

The intensive process of painting each of these shells left a lot of room for intention setting.

Release what I can’t solve today. Trust that the right path will reveal itself. I am allowed to feel joy while something hard is unresolved.

Shell by shell, color by color, this became my solitude, my therapy, and a way of finding my way back to myself.

JOY PRACTICE, 22x28 — original available. DM for details.
